What is Trade Balance ?

Trade Balance is the difference between the monetary value of exports and imports of output in an economy over a certain period, measured in the currency of that economy.

When a country imports more than it exports, the resulting negative number is called a trade deficit. When the opposite is true, a country has a trade surplus.

If the current account is in surplus, the country's net international asset position increases correspondingly. Equally, a deficit decreases the net international asset position.

What is the Retail Sales ?

Retails is the sale of goods and services from individuals or businesses to the end-user.

The retail sales report is one of the major economic indicators and the most timely, providing data that is only a few weeks old.
